BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas was admitted to a hospital in the capital on Tuesday noon.

The former minister is now undergoing treatment at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital.

BNP chairperson's press wing member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter.

He said: "Abbas has been suffering from stomach problems for two days."

The family members of the BNP leader urged all to pray for his recovery, he added.
