BNP Vice-Chairman Barkat Ullah Bulu and three members of his family tested positive for Covid-19. 

They were admitted to Green Life Hospital in Dhaka yesterday and currently undergoing treatment under medicine specialist Prof Dr ABM Abdullah.

Manjurul Azim Sumon, assistant organizing Secretary of Juba Dal, confirmed the matter to media.

The three family members who contracted the virus are his wife Shamia Barkat Lucky, elder son Omar Sharif Mohammad Imran (Saniyat) and youngest son Mahathir Mohammad Irkan (Sabit).

Bulu and his family gave their samples for the Covid-19 tests on Thursday morning and the results came back positive at night, he said.

The BNP leader requested countrymen to pray for their quick recovery from the disease.
