Conspiracy on against Islam, alleges Amini

DHAKA: Islami Oikya Jote chairman Mufti Fazlul Haque Amini alleged the conspiracy is on against Islam and Islamic politics.

“The ruling party, however, came to the power pledging not to formulate any law against Islam,” said Amini at a discussion Saturday.

Islami Oikya Jote organised the meeting at National Press Club.

He warned that the laws of Allah must not be changed in the country through the intervention of parliament and the Supreme Court.

Demanding release of Amar Desh acting editor Mahmudur Rahman, he also said that journalists should stop all kinds of publications in the country protesting the arrest of Mahmudur.

Among others Khelafat Majlish Ameer Muhammad Ishak, Jatiya Ganatantrik Party Chairman Shafiul Alam Prodhan, Bangladesh National Awami Party (NAP) Secretary General Golam Mostofa Bhuyia, National Democratic Party Secretary General Alamgir Mazumdar and Bangladesh Labour Party Secretary General Dr Mostafizur Rahman Iran spoke on the meet.
