A high-level delegation of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), led by its Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, is scheduled to leave Dhaka for China on Sunday night at the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

BNP Media Cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter to the media. 

The delegation will comprise BNP Standing Committee members Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Selima Rahman, and AZM Zahid Hossain.

Also accompanying them are BNP Chairperson’s Advisory Council members Zahir Uddin Swapon, Ismail Jabiullah, and Prof Sukomal Barua, as well as BNP Media Cell Convener Maudud Ahmed Pavel.

Earlier, the BNP delegation met with Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen at the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka on Thursday evening to discuss matters of mutual interest.
