BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will return to Bangladesh from London on May 5 aboard a special air ambulance sent by the Emir of Qatar, party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said today.
Initially, she was scheduled to return via a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight due to air ambulance unavailability, but the decision was changed at the last moment, Fakhrul said at a press conference.
Khaleda Zia will be accompanied by her daughters-in-law, Zubaida Rahman and Sharmila Rahman.
"Everyone is excited and ready to welcome the BNP chairperson," Fakhrul said, while urging the public to avoid the airport-to-Kakoli road and use the elevated expressway during her arrival.
