Jewel, Sharif on fresh 6-day remand

DHAKA: Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal President Abdul Quader Bhuiyan Jewel and senior vice-president of Dhaka (North) Chhatra Dal Sharif Uddin Jewel, were taken on a six-day more remand for police interrogation in two cases filed with Motijheel Thana.  

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Asaduzzaman Nur passed the remand order after sub-inspectors Mizanur Rahman and Anisul Islam of the Detective Branch of Police, also the IOs of the cases, produced them before the court with a ten-day remand prayer in each case.

On December 6, Investigation Officers sought for 20-day remand of Jewel and Sharif in two cases with the Motijheel thana.

Three days’ police remand in a case filed with Paltan Thana ended on Tuesday.

On December 6, a team of Detective Branch of police held them from capital’s Uttara area.
