DHAKA: Detective Branch (DB) police arrested BNP chairperson’s adviser Abdul Awal Mintoo and personal assistant Shimul Biswas early Saturday.

Law enforcers held them from BNP chairperson’s Gulshan residence at around 1:00am.

BNP chairperson’s media wing member Sairul Kabir Khan confirmed it to banglanews.

Earlier, separate teams of DB police arrested Moudud, Anwar and Rafiqul from in front of Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon on Friday night.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Public Relations and Media Department Deputy Police Commissioner Masudur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The detainees were taken to DB office, he added.
