Members of Naval police recovered the dead body of an unidentified youth from Karnaphuli River in Chattogram on Tuesday (Oct 5). 

According to information, the body was recovered around 4:30 pm on Tuesday (Oct 4). Later, the body was sent to Chattogram Medical College (CMCH) Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Sadarghat Naval Police Officer-in-Charge OC Mohammad Ekram confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

He said a person named Nazrul Islam informed the naval police regarding the dead body through 999. PBI and CID have been asked to collect fingerprints.

The law enforcers recovered the half-decomposed body of about 35-year-old man wearing jeans pants and a check T-shirt, half sleeves with a black belt, he also added, he added.
