Three passengers were killed and seven others injured after a microbus hit into a bridge railing at Kamarkhanda Upazila in Sirajganj district on Monday (Oct 4) night.

However, the deceased were not identified immediately.

Bangabandhu Bridge West Police Station officer in-charge Mosaddek Hossain confirmed the matter.

He said a bus hit the railing of Jhaoil Overbridge around 11:00 pm after its driver had lost control over the steering. Later, police and fire service members rescued the injured and took them to Sirajganj Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib General Hospital.

The bodies were sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC added.
