A child died after being crushed by a sand-carrying tractor in Bhairab Upazila of Kishoreganj on Wednesday (Sep 28).

The deceased was identified as Siam Mia, 10, son of Delwar Mia and a student of class III.

The accident took place in Kamalpur (West Para) area of Bhairab municipality this afternoon.

According to locals, Siam was riding a bicycle on the road in Kamalpur area of Bhairab municipality on this noon. He was then seriously injured when a tractor hit him. Later, the child was rescued and taken to Jahurul Islam Medical College Hospital in Bajitpur, where the doctor declared him dead.

Inspector (OC-Investigation) of Bhairab police station Shah Alam Molla confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
