Police arrested two people with six gold bars in Meherpur on Wednesday (Sep 28).

They were arrested from Shib Mondir area of Meherpur town around 5:45 am.

The arrestees were identified as Masud Rana, 24, son of late Abdul Mannan of Bandar area of Narayanganj and Kaniz Fatema, 40, wife of Sheikh Ashraful Kabir of Moghbazar area of the city.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Meherpur Sadar Police Station Rafiqul Islam confirmed this information.
