A university student was crushed under a running train while trying to get on it in Lalpur upazila of Natore.

Deceased Hassanuzzaman Imtiaj Ali, 22, was a student of Law Department at Barendra University in Rajshahi. He was the son of Ishaq Ali, a resident of Rooppur area under Ishwardi upazila of Pabna district.

The accident took place at Abdulpur Junction Station around 8am.

Ishwardi Railway GRP Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mihir Ranjan Deb confirmed this information to Banglanews.

He said Imtiaj was travelling with his father from Pabna's Ishwardi to Rajshahi on a Rohanpur-bound commuter train on Saturday morning. 
 
He had disembarked from the train at Abdulpur Junction. As the train started to leave the station, Entaj tried to get inside hurriedly, but his hands slipped and met with the tragedy, the OC added.
