Imran Hossain, Chuadanga's Alamdanga Municipal Awami Swechasebak League General Secretary was hacked to death by some miscreants.

He was attacked on Friday morning (Sep 16) in the Mat Para area of the Upazila. 

According to information, the rival group found Imran alone this morning on a playing ground in the Mat Para area and attacked him with sharp weapons. Imran was then rescued and taken to Kushtia General Hospital where he succumbed to injury this afternoon.

According to family sources, Imran had a conflict with some people in the village some four months ago. He was killed because of that conflict.

Chuadanga Police Superintendent Abdullah Al Mamun confirmed the matter.

He said efforts are being taken to nab the accused.
