Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall for many places over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 12 noon today (Sep 13).
According to the bulletin, "Under the influence of active monsoon, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet during next 24 hours."
"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country," it added.
However, the day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The highest temperature on Monday was recorded 33.0 degree Celsius jointly in Srimangal and Dimla, while today's minimum temperature was 22.3 degree Celsius in Ishurdi.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours was recorded 116 mm in Khepupara.
