Ali Hossain,17, a class ten student at Government Science High School in Tejgaon was killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle in Dhaka's Tejgaon Industrial area on Sunday (Sep 11) morning.

Ajmir Hossain, father of the deceased, said Ali Hossain went out of the house around 6:00 am to attend classes.

Later they heard about the accident around 8:00 am, he added. 

Assistant Sub-inspector Sudarshan Rajbangsi of Tejgaon Industrial Police Station said they heard a loud noise while carrying out duties at a check post nearby at 8:00 am. 

He also said police rushed there and saw the boy lying in a pool of blood and sent him immediately to Samorita Hospital.

Later, he was transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared him dead around 8:30 am, he added.
