Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (Aug 12) predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in many places over the country.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions, at a few places over Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over southern part of Bangladesh," the bulletin added.
Day temperature may rise slightly over southern part and it may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere over the country.
Night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said a BMD press release.
Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded by 36 degree Celsius at Syedpur and Sylhet and minimum temperature today was recorded by 24 degree Celsius at Rangamati.
The sun sets at 6.34 pm today and rises at 5.33 am tomorrow in the capital.
