Pranay Kumar Verma, currently the Indian envoy to Vietnam, has been appointed as the next Indian high commissioner to Bangladesh.
The Ministry of External Affairs of India confirmed the matter through a press release issued on Friday (July 29).
“Shri Pranay Kumar Verma (IFS:1994), presently Ambassador of India to Socialist Republic of Vietnam, has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh,” said the release.
“He is expected to take up the assignment shortly,” the release added.
