The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 30 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs during anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital city over the past 24 hours till 6:00 am Tuesday (Jan 25).

Detectives and the law enforcers jointly made the arrest and seized illegal drugs from their possession.

The DMP seized 11,227 Yaba tablets, 2.105 kg of hemp and 109 grams grams of heroin from their possessions, a DMP statement said.

Based on information, members of Detectives and Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) conducted a 24-hour long raid and detained the drug trades from various places, it also said.

A total of 26 cases have been filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act, the statement added.
