Dengue: 87 hospitalised in last 24-hr

The country reported 87 fresh dengue cases in last 24 hours till Saturday morning (Nov 27), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

So far, 98 died from the mosquito-borne disease this year.

In the 24 hours, 57 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka and 30 other people in other places across the country, said the DGHS release.

Some 428 patients diagnosed with dengue fever are now receiving treatment in the country. Of them, 320 patients were receiving treatment in 46 government and private hospitals in Dhaka while the remaining 108 were undergoing treatment outside Dhaka.

Some 27,004 patients have been admitted to different hospitals with dengue since January while 26,478 patients have returned home after recovery.
