A Dhaka court on Tuesday (Oct 26) granted bail to film actress Pori Moni in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act.

Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Court Judge Rabiul Alam issued the bail order after Pori Moni had surrendered before the court to seek bail in the case.

The court also set November 15 for hearing on acceptance of charges against the actor and two of her associates after accepting her petition for bail.

Pori Moni and two of her associates Ashraful Islam Dipu and Kabir Hossain face drug charges in a case filed with the Banani police station in Dhaka.

Pori Moni was shown arrested on August 5 in the case filed by the Rapid Action Battalion with Banani Police Station.

On August 4, members of the elite force detained Pori Moni after seizing alcohol and narcotics from her residence.
