Mohibullah murder: 'Killing Squad' man among 4 arrested

Armed Police Battalion (APBn) arrested four persons, including a member of 'Killing Squad', in a case filed for killing of top Rohingya leader Mohammad Mohibullah in Cox's Bazar's Ukhiya.

Azizul haque, who was directly involved in Mohibullah's killing incident, was arrested, said APBn-14 commander SP Naimul Haque on Saturday.  

Five of the 19 terrorists involved in the killing of Rohingya leader Muhibullah were equipped with arms, he said, adding the rest were monitoring the situation.

Naimul Haque said being informed, Azizul Haque, who was taking part in a killing mission with a one-shooter gun, was arrested from the Lambasia Iron Bridge area of Kutupalong on Friday night. 

Later, according to Azizul's information, the law enforcers arrested Rashid Murshid Amin, Md. Anas and Nur Mohammad.

Unknown assailants gunned down Mohibullah on September 29. He was first rushed to a local medical facility and later shifted to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

On September 30, the victim's younger brother Habibullah filed a case with Ukhiya Police Station in Cox's Bazar.
