A Dhaka tribunal on Tuesday ordered to freeze wealth of four persons, including Hungary-based entrepreneur Zulkarnain Saer Khan alias Sami and Swedish-Bangladeshi journalist Tasneem, by November 8 in a case filed under Digital Security Act (DSA).
Two other accused in the case are: Ashiq Rahman and Shapan Wahed.
Judge Mohammad Ash Sams Joglul Hossain of Dhaka Cyber Tribunal passed the order of freezing wealth.
Nazrul Islam Shamim, special public prosecutor of the concerned tribunal, said this on Tuesday (October 19).
Earlier on Monday (October 18th), Dhaka Cyber Tribunal judge Assam Jaglul Hossain passed the order.
RAB filed a case against 11 persons on May 5, 2020, on the charges of spreading anti-state falsehood to tarnish the image of Bangladesh and create confusion from a Facebook page.
