Fourteen Covid-19 related fatalities were reported at the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in the last 24 hours till Monday morning (July 19).

Of the deceased, five tested positive for Covid-19 and nine had its symptoms, said RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani.

Four of those were the residents of Natore, followed by three from Rajshahi, two from Naogaon and Kustia each and one from Pabna districts. They were aged between 31 and 65, he said.

Some 329 people died of Covid-19 at the corona unit of RMCH from July 1 to 19.

Besides, 64 more patients were admitted to the designated wards of the hospital afresh during the time, taking its number to 508 against 454 beds. 

Another 20 patients are undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital. Fifty-six patients have recovered and returned to their homes during the time.
