Bashundhara Group distributes relief in Tetulia

Bashundhara Group, a leading business conglomerate of the country, distributed relief items among helpless people in Tetulia Upazila of Panchagarh on Saturday.

The Kaler Kantho, one of the renowned Bengali national dailies of Bashundhara Group, provided relief through its social organisation Shuvasangha.

Hailing from Tirnaihat union, hundred plus impoverished people received relief at Nurania Madrasa and Hefzakhana.
Fazila Begum who has no children to be looked after received the relief and became happy.

She lives in a tiny house in Guchchagram. Her happiness knew no bounds after getting the Bashundhara Group’s relief.

Nurania Madrasa Headmaster Maulana Md Yunus Ali administered special prayer seeking welfare of Bashundhara Group at the relief distribution programme. Teachers and students of the Madrasa and others participated in the prayer.

Tetulia Upazila Parishad Chairman Kazi Mahmudur Rahman Dablu, UNO Sohag Chandra Saha, Model Thana OC Abu Sayem Mia, Kaler Kantho Assistant Editor Ataur Rahman Kabul and Tirnaihat Union Awami League General Secretary Md Daniel Hossain were present, among others.

Speaking on the occasion, Tetulia Upazila Parishad Chairman Kazi Mahmudur Rahman Dablu said, “Bashundhara Group has set a rare example of humanity by distributing relief among the poor and destitute across the country amid the coronavirus pandemic. Other affluent people should come forward.”

UNO Sohag Chandra Saha advised people to follow health regulations due to a surge in the coronavirus cases.
Model Thana OC Abu Sayem Mia said, “Bashundhara Group relief is of great help to the poor and destitute amid the pandemic.”

Thanking Shuvasangha for charity, Kaler Kantho Assistant Editor Ataur Rahman Kabul said, “We will continue to be engaged in good work with the help of youths.”

Bashundhara Group has handed out relief among 3,000 people in Panchagarh district in this season so far. Relief operation in various unions in Tetulia is underway.
