Three passengers of an auto-rickshaw were killed as a truck hit the vehicle at Sadar upazila in Thakurgaon district on Thursday afternoon.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Thakurgaon Fire Service and Civil Defence station officer Mafidar Rahman confirmed the matter.

On information, the firefighters rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies, he said.

Rescue operation was underway, he said, adding injured persons were being sent to Thakurgaon Adhunik Sadar Hospital.
