Three of a family were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Shibganj upazila of Bogura on Saturday morning.

The deceased are identified as Ashraf Ali, 50, resident of the Baropur village under Bogura Sadar upazila; his wife Parul Begum, 42; and their two-month-old grandchild Rezwan.

besides, the injured were identified as Rezwan's father Rashedul, 26, and mother Golapi, 22.

Gobindganj Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khairul Islam confirmed the matter.

He said Ashraf and Parul died on the spot and Rezowan died at Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Hospital while undergoing treatment.
