Three people, including two children, were electrocuted at Chowdhurypara of Malibagh in the capital on Saturday (June 5).

The deceased were known as Sabia Pakhi, 10, Juma, 12, and Abul Hossain, 65.

According to locals, an electric wire from a poll fell into a roadside due to inclement weather this noon. The wire came into contact and electrocuted the three people. Later, the injured were sent to the hospital where duty doctor declared them dead.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost In-charge Md Bacchu Mia said, the bodies were kept at the hospital morgue.

Hatirjheel police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdur Rashid confirmed the matter to media.
