A military commander of JSS MN Larma's group was shot to death by his fellow mate in Bagaichhari upazila of Rangmati district early Wednesday.
 
Deceased Bishwa Chakma alia Jang Chakma, 42, was a resident of Babu Para area in the upazila.

According to locals, Sujon Chakma, an activist of the JSS, opened fire on Bishwa indiscriminately at Babu Para, leaving him dead on the spot.

Soon after that, the criminal immediately fled the scene, according to them.

Bagaichhari Police Station officer in-charge Md Ashraf Uddin confirmed the matter to media. 

He said Bishwa Chakma was shot dead by his own party workers in Babupara area.

The body has been sent to Khagrachari General Hospital for autopsy, he said.
