The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested JMI Group Chairman Abdur Razzaq on charges of supplying fake N-95 masks.

Confirming the matter on Tuesday noon, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said Razzaq was arrested from Dhaka’s Segunbagicha area.

Earlier on July 8, an ACC team, led by the organization’s director Mir Md Joynul Abedin Shibli, quizzed Razzaq over corruption allegations in purchasing masks, personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety materials for Covid-19.
