Five ‘Neo-JMB men’ held in Sylhet Photo symbolic

Four operatives and a commander of Neo-JMB, an ultra-radical offshoot of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), were arrested from Sylhet. 

Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), in cooperation with Sylhet police, arrested them on Tuesday noon.

The identities of the arrestees could not be known yet.

Police claimed that they were planning to attack on Hazrat Shahjalal's shrine.

Deputy Commissioner of CCTC Saiful Islam confirmed the matter to media.
