Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a registered female drug lord with heroin worth around Tk 2 crore in Pallabi area of the capital.

Member of RAB-4 conducted a raid in Millat Camp on Thursday midnight and arrested Ms Anwari, 40.

RAB-4 Assistant Director (media) ASP Ziaur Rahman Chowdhury said Anwari was detained with 1.707 kilograms of heroin, and two mobile phones in her possession. She is a listed drug trader and has been involved in this business for long. 

Anwari was facing multiple drug cases filed with different police stations, including four cases filed with Pallabi police station, he said.  

Ziaur also said, during the preliminary interrogation, Anwari admitted to drug trading and that of she used to supply heroin to different areas of the capital including Pallabi in various techniques. 

Legal procedures against the accused is underway, he added.
