DHAKA: The people, who have issued death threat to 25 eminent citizens, will be brought to justice soon.

‘There is no reason to be panic about trial of the culprits,’ said state minister for home Asaduzzaman Khan.

In reply to a question, he made the comment on Wednesday noon.

Recently Ansarullah Bangla Team-13, the banned militant group, threatened to kill 25 dignitaries including information minister Hasanul Haq Inu, state minister for home Asaduzzaman Khan and Dhaka University vice-chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique.

Responding to questions from reporters, the minister said that the outfit members were not issued the threat all of a sudden.

They have already issued such murder-threat to many, he added.

‘There is nothing to be panicked about it. The people, who had threatened to kill 25 citizens, will be brought to justice after identifying them soon,’ he assured the concerned.

On the other hand, the state minister said police are taking action secretly to ensure security of prominent citizens.

Earlier on Tuesday, banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team issued death threats to 25 other dignitaries.

The outfit sent a letter on Tuesday issuing death threat. However, a general diary (GD) has been filed in this regard, said Shahbagh Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Abu Bakar Siddique.
