DHAKA:  The second budget session of the 10th Jatiya Sangsad will resume on Monday afternoon.

The day’s proceedings will begin at 5:30pm, with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury in the chair.

Earlier on June 4, the session has been adjourned for two days due to visit of visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi after placing budget for 2015-16 fiscal year.

Finance Minister AMA Muhith has unveiled the Tk 295,100-crore budget for 2015-16 fiscal, fixing the target of attaining a higher GDP growth of 7.0 percent in the financial year.

According to Monday’s rule of business, ministers, members of the parliament will take part general discussion on the supplementary budget for 2014-15 fiscal year.

The budget session began on June 01 and will continue till July 9. The proposed budget for 2015-16 fiscal year is expected to be passed on June 30.
