DHAKA: India Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to deliver a speech in Hindi for the people of Bangladesh during his upcoming visit in the country.
Bangladesh foreign secretary Mohammad Shahidul Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews on Sunday afternoon.
He said PM Modi will deliver a speech publicly but the place has not been confirmed.
India high commission in Dhaka will arrange the speech, he added.
According the secretary, the speech will highlighted the historic relations between the two neighboring countries.
Mentioning Modi’s previous speeches in Hindi in different countries, foreign ministry sources said that the India PM may deliver his speech at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in city.
However, Narendra Modi is set to visit Bangladesh for two days from June 6. The upcoming tour will be his first visit in Bangladesh since his oath as India premier in May last year.
