DHAKA: At least three people were killed and 36 others were injured in separate road crashes in Nilphamari and Kurigram districts Saturday morning.

Identity of deceased and injured could not be known immediately.

Banglanews Nilphamari Correspondent reports: A man was killed when a goods-laden truck hit a human hauler, locally known as votvoti, in Kalabagan area under Syedpur Upazila.

On the other hand, a passenger bus plunged into a roadside ditch near Kamarpur bridge of the upazila as its driver lost control over the steering, killing a child on the spot and injuring 10 others.

Of the injured, three were in critical condition. They are undergoing treatment at Rangpur Medical College and Hospital, said Ismail Hossain, Officer-In-Charge (OC) of Syedpur Thana.

Kurigram correspondent reported that a man was killed and 26 others were injured in a road accident in Henajer Tal area of Sadar Upazila of the district.

Sadar Thana OC M Ruhani Siddik confirmed the matter to banglanews.
