DHAKA: Miscreants shot a young man to death in Rampura TV Road of the city Friday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as M Rubel alias Mintu, 22, son of Nasima Begum, hails from Barguna district, but lived in Rampura area.

Sources said some miscreants shot Mintu in the area and his brother Ismail Hossain took him to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries around 6:50pm.

DMCH police outpost Assistant Sub-Ispector (ASI) Sentu Chandra Das confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Victim’s mother claimed that Mintu’s friend Shah Alam killed him as Alam called him from home after Jumma prayer.

She will file a case in this connection, Sentu added.
