DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia will go to party’s Naya Paltan central office around 10:30am Monday to pay tribute to former lawmaker Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu.

BNP chairperson’s Media Wing officer Shamshuddin Didar confirmed the matter to banglanews.

In a press release, Party’s assistant office secretary Abdul Latif Jony said that the second namaj-e-janaza will be held around 11:30am Monday.

The body of former BNP lawmaker Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu has been taken to Dhaka after the first namaz-e-Janaza at metropolitan’s Hetem Khan Boro Mosque in Rajshai.

Earlier on Sunday, Pintu felt pain in his chest at Rajshahi jail. He was immediately taken to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) where on-duty doctor declared him dead at 12:20pm.
