COMILLA: A group of Indians lynched a Bangladeshi on Shahpur border in Comilla on the wee hours of Sunday.

India’s Border Security Force (BSF) informed Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members in a letter on Sunday morning.

The victim has been identified as Nur Islam (50), hailed from Rajapara village in Comilla Sadar Dakshin Upazila of the district.

Bibir Bazar BGB commander Subedar Mahbub told banglanews that the BSF letter mentioned Nur Islam had gone to India’s Sonapur village for stealing. After catching, villagers beat him to death.

The letter further mentioned that they will return the victim’s body after a flag meeting.
