180 Bangladeshis rescued from Yemen

DHAKA: A total of 180 Bangladeshis nationals have been evacuated from war-torn Yemen so far with the help of Indian government.

The Indian Ship, Sumitra, will reach Djibouti Friday morning which starts from Yemen’s Hodeidah port.

Indian High Commission to Dhaka confirmed the matter through a tweeter message Thursday night.

Earlier, 50 more Bangladeshis were rescued from the war-torn Yemen using Indian aircrafts and ships.

Moreover, the process to sent Bangladeshi airplane to rescue the Bangladeshi people also started.

According to the information of foreign ministry, some 3000 Bangladeshis have been leaving there. However, the Bangladeshis those lived in Sana said the amount is at least 10,000.

Till now, 553 Bangladeshis registrar their name to return Bangladesh.

The Bangladeshi Government also get permission from Saudi Government for three-days emergency landing of aircraft in Sana. 

India’s Ministry of External Affairs’s spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin tweet this informing the matter.
