CHANDPUR: A driver was killed and three others burned badly as miscreants hurled petrol bomb on a truck in Chandra area early Thursday.
   
The deceased was identified as Jahangir Hossain, hailed from Jessore and injured are Khorshed Alam, 30, son of Abdus Shobhan, Rubel Hossain, 38, son of Golam Mostafa and Sharif Hossain, 38, son of Shahbuddin of Baghchhara area in Jessore.

Witnesses said some miscreants blasted a petrol bomb at a goods-laden truck in the area around 12:00am which burned alive its driver and severely injured three others who were in the truck.

Locals rushed them to the Chandpur Government General Hospital and, later, shifted to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for better treatment.

Resident surgeon Partho Shankar Pal of DMCH said 88 percent body of Sharif, 25 percent of Rubel and 35 percent of Khorshed were burned.
