KHULNA: Two traders were killed as a truck rammed them in Chuknagar area under Dumuria upazila of the district on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Anwar Hossain and Mahabubur Rahman.

Officer-in-charge (OC) M Mashiur Rahman of Dumuria Thana confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said a Satkhira-bound truck run over Anwar and Mahabubur while they were going to Khulna from Dumuria’s Atharo Mile area riding a motorbike through dense fog in the area around 7:00am, leaving the duo dead on the spot.

Being informed, highway thana police rushed to the spot and arrested the truck driver.

The law enforcers also seized the truck, the OC added.
