DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalists Party (BNP) was established with the fund of Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence agency (ISI), said Dhaka University (DU) Education and Research Institute Professor M. Ohiduzzaman Chan.
The eminent educationist made the remark while addressing a roundtable titled “Violence, Militancy, Dialogue and Reality” at a city hotel on Saturday morning.
Regional Anti-Terrorist Research Institute (RATRI) organized the round table where it’s Executive Director Major General (retd.) Muhammad Ali Sikder presented the keynote paper.
Alleging that Ziaur Rahman after assuming power had executed the agenda of Pakistan, the professor said that the Bishabriksha (poison tree) which was planted by Zia through Amendment to the Constitution, has now become a big tree.
Addressing the round table, Ohiduzzaman also alleged that the BNP-led alliance want to establish the ideology of Pakistan in Bangladesh.
He said there is no scope to surrender before the evil force which is carrying out violence. Now fight is the only option to achieve victory over the ongoing terrorism.
