DHAKA: A fire broke out at Tong market in Dholai Khal area of the city Friday evening.

On informed, eight units of fire service rushed to the spot and doused the blaze after trying frantically for half an hour.

Duty officer of fire service control room Nilufar Yasmin confirmed the matter to banglanews.

She further said the fire originated in the market around 7:15pm.

“The fire might be originated from electric short circuit,” she added.

The amount of loss could not be estimated immediately, she added.
