DHAKA: Leaders and activists of Islami Chhattra Shibir, student’s wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, brought out brisk procession, vandalized six to seven vehicles and exploded seven to eight cocktails at city’s Shahjadpur area on Tuesday morning.

Tuesday is the fifteenth day of the nationwide road-rail-waterway blockade, called for indefinite period called by Bangladesh Nationalist Party.

Witnessed said a group of Shibir leaders and activists, numbering 20 to 25, brought a precession on Pragati Sarani of the area around 7:15am in support of the blockade and carried out the acts of sabotage there.

As a patrolling police team rushed to the spot, the Shibir men fled the scene.

However, Gulshan Thana Officer-In-Charge Rafiqul Islam told banglanews that they did not hear anything about it.
