DHAKA: The chairman of Ekushey Television Ltd (ETV) Abdus Salam Mohammed Kareem was detained by law enforcers early Tuesday.

Sources told banglanews that a team of Detective Branch (DB) of police nabbed him from his Karwan Bazar office in city around 3:30am.

However, the reason of detaining him is yet to be known.

ETV chief facilities officer Sayeed Munna told banglanews that a group of plainclothes DB nabbed Salam around 3:30am.

“We do not know where Abdus Salam has been taken away,” he added.
