DHAKA:  The Armed Forces Pay Committee recommended TK 1 lakh highest salary for the General and equivalent ranks of Armed Forces and Tk 8,200 for lowest rank officials.

Committee president lieutenant general Anwar Hossain handed over the new pay structure to Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith at the ministry on Thursday morning.

As per the recommendations, the new pay structure under 16 separate grades will effect from July.

The report also proposed Tk 88,000 for the rank and equivalent of a major general and a lieutenant general of Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Air Force.

Chiefs of the forces will enjoy other facilities as per post.
