FROM NEW YORK: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock at the demise of Ayesha Foyez, mother of eminent author, dramatist, screenwriter, playwright and filmmaker late Humayun Ahmed.

In a condolence message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that Ayesha Foyez was Rantagarva. Her demise is painful.

Meanwhile, the premier conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Earlier, Ayesha Foyez breathed her last due to old age complexity at Labaid Hospital in city around 7:00am on Saturday.
