Ayesha Foyez‘s body at Pallabi residence

DHAKA: The body of Ayesha Foyez, mother of noted writer Humayun Ahmed, was taken to Pallabi residence at in city’s Mirpur area.

Sources said that she will be taken to Mohanganj of Netrokona after Namaz-e-Janaza in front of Pallabi residence after Johr prayers on Saturday. Then she will be laid to rest beside the grave of her mother.

Educationist Prof. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, son of Ayesha Foyez, confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Earlier in the day, Ayesha Foyez breathed her last due to old age complexity at Labaid Hospital around 7:00am.

She was 84.

Ayesha Foyez was the mother of Humayun Ahmed, noted writer, and science fiction author Prof Zafar Iqbal and cartoonist Ahsan Habib.

She was born on Mar 23, 1930 at Barhatta's Koitali village to Abul Hossain and Khairun Nesa.

She was the wife of Faizur Rahman, a police officer, also a Liberation War martyr.
