United Air resumes operation Saturday

DHAKA: After a three-day suspension the private carrier United Airways will resume their operations on Saturday.

The decision came from a closed-door meeting between newly formed board and immediate past chairman Tasbirul Ahmed Choudhury on Friday evening.

Tasbirul, who had stepped down from the post over the conflict, also retook his charges as chairman and managing director.

Flight operations on international routes will restart after receiving clearance from the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB).

In 2007, United Air started its domestic flights to Chittagong, Sylhet, Jessore, Cox’s Bazar, Rajshahi, Saidpur and Ishwardi. 

On the international routes, it was operating to Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Kathmandu, Kolkata, Jeddah, Bangkok, Muscat and Singapore routes.
