7 detained over JnU admission test forgery

JAGANNATH UNIVERSITY: The Jagannath University (JnU) authority held seven admission seekers for their involvement in forgery in the examination with the help of mobile phones during admission tests of ‘D’ unit on Friday.

The held are -- Sadiqul Islam, Ziad Khan, Mehedi Hasan, Arif Newaz, Masud Rana, Palash and Rakibul Hasan.

Confirming the matter, Jagannath University Proctor Dr Nur Mohammad told banglanews that they were handed over to the thana after interrogation at the proctor’s room of the university.

A case was filed against them with Public Examinations (Offences) Act 1980.
